Degree in Industrial Engineering

Description of Bachelor's Degree

The bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering is a combination of the main engineering sciences with principles of business administration, human resources, process automation and data interpretation using artificial intelligence tools. During their study program, the Industrial Engineering student develops the professional skills that will allow them to function successfully in the fields of manufacturing, logistics, finance, marketing and data analysis.

Over the course of the degree, you will have the opportunity to interact on virtual education platforms that will promote asynchronous and synchronous learning, contributing to the mastery of digital and technological skills such as soft skills, taught entirely in Spanish. Research, the use of technological tools and the promotion of ethics will be the transversal axes of professional training, in addition to the scientific axes of the Industrial Engineering career.

Study Methodology

The study methodology proposed through a virtual learning modality is designed and developed so that the student can advance flexibly in the self-learning and self-regulation processes. Synchronous and asynchronous activities will be carried out between teachers and students using teaching tools and resources on the LMS platform.

Labor Field

Industrial engineers can work in a wide variety of places since any organization that manages processes, regardless of the sector, will require these professionals.

Micro Certifications

Mathematics Sciences

The micro-certification in Mathematics Sciences is the study of three academic disciplines of numerical sciences. Through the resolution of everyday life problems, the aim is to understand theories, models and mathematical tools that help explain algebraic, geometric, statistical and analytical structures for the quantitative knowledge of different contextualized phenomena.  The program develops skills in mathematical logical thinking, critical reasoning, analysis and quantitative knowledge that can be applied in various fields and academic disciplines. The methodology of the courses is through case resolution, problem-based learning and projects where the student puts what he has learned into practice.

Introduction to social sciences

The micro-certification in Introduction to Social Sciences provides students with a basis for reflective critical analysis of social, political, economic, and cultural issues that allow them to propose solutions to problems that society faces from a position with a theoretical-ethical foundation. Through case studies, debates, projects and active methodologies, skills will be developed and tools will be provided for the study of society and the changes it faces.

Applied Mathematics

The micro-certification in Applied Mathematics seeks to develop abstraction and problem-solving skills by learning concepts and tools of algebra and calculus. The student will be able to propose specific mathematical models to describe phenomena in the fields of marketing, industry and finance, and be able to apply them in their professional development.

Materials Fundamentals

The micro-certification in Materials Fundamentals seeks for the student to have a general understanding of the structure, properties and behaviors of different materials such as metals, ceramics, polymers, composite materials and semiconductors. This knowledge will allow you to take an active participation in your professional field in the selection of suitable materials for traditional production processes as well as additive manufacturing processes.

Application of mathematical models

The micro certification in Application of Mathematical Models provides emerging technological and mathematical tools for the understanding of complex systems, prediction models, process optimization, decision making, validation techniques and development of process tests. The student will be able to implement creative solutions to industry processes by applying linear programming concepts to intelligent predictive models.

Project management

The Project Management micro certification provides practical tools and proven methodologies for efficient project management, from planning, execution and control to completion to meet objectives as well as optimize available resources. Students will develop strategic monitoring and verification competencies that guarantee success through case analysis and project implementation through technological tools.

Gerencial administration

The micro-certification of Management Administration through theoretical foundation develops skills for decision-making in the business field, leading human talent towards the achievement of organizational objectives. The training prepares students to successfully lead work teams and achieve organizational objectives in a competitive business context.

Operations analysis

The micro certification in Operations Analysis seeks for the student to have a general understanding of manufacturing processes by applying operations analysis and supply management strategies through case analysis and project design. This knowledge will allow you to implement improvements in productive efficiencies, for decision making, increasing the quality of processes, risk mitigation, continuous improvement projects and identifying competitive advantages in the industry.

Industrial Process Analysis Tools

The micro certification in Industrial Process Analysis Tools presents the student with emerging technological analysis tools to develop innovative solutions to problems in the operations of an organization. Through active methodologies, problems are solved with business intelligence tools, learning systems designed with artificial intelligence and virtual reality modeling.
