Financial assistance

International Lauderdale University has financial assistance in the form of a payment plan for students who require it. The payment plan offered allows the student to make monthly payments for the duration of the course. To opt for the payment plan, the student must request it through self-service. Once the initial payment has been determined, the balance due will be distributed in two installments payable on the first day of each calendar month, during each period. The University accepts payments in the form of electronic transfers and debit or credit cards.

All student payments are due on the first day of the term or the first day of the month if you are on a payment plan. Failure to pay two consecutive installments may result in suspension. Students who are not creditworthy will not be awarded a transcript or degree.

To collect delinquent accounts, the administration will contact the student by mail, email or other means requesting prompt cancellation of the balance owed. Students will be reminded that, in accordance with university policy, suspension or even expulsion may be consequences of this matter.

International Lauderdale University reserves the right to use collection agencies or take any other appropriate legal action if a student refuses to meet his or her financial obligations to the institution.

Methodological Principles

http://iluni.us/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/ilu-line.png

The training model at International Lauderdale University is based on the principles of Andragogy; which allows promoting an environment of success for the student, since they are provided with spaces and learning moments that privilege and adapt to their conditions and characteristics; in addition to stimulating positive reinforcement.

Three fundamental principles are assumed: participation, horizontality and flexibility.

1.

Participation: the developed methodology encourages activities where the student participates as an active subject in their learning. These activities are relevant to their characteristics and interests and motivate their proactive participation.

2.

Horizontality: this principle becomes important, since it allows us to draw on the students' previous knowledge and experiences, constituting a valuable strategy to link the learning of the courses or classes with the external context. Self-esteem and respect for one's own and others' ideas are stimulated. Equity and inclusion are promoted.

3.

Flexibility: in the context of virtual learning, flexibility is the principle that allows the student to adapt to the learning context. It also stimulates students' analysis, selectivity and commitment to achieving their own goals; as well as those of the course programs. Subscribe to quality and responsibility. The alternatives and work options allow the student to schedule their study, through an adequate sequence of academic load and the concentration of tasks at the end of the academic periods or cycles, in addition to facilitating evidence of the achievement of competencies.

Delivery mode

International Lauderdale University develops its activities through a virtual learning and teaching modality; For which it has an electronic learning portal with easy and dynamic access, which allows students to receive their classes in a safe and friendly virtual environment, providing students and teachers with all the resources and learning materials through the Internet. Blackboard platform (Learning Management System -LMS-), which manages all learning digitally and automatically.

In our study methodology, all users interact with the platform asynchronously, since the courses or subjects are properly designed and developed didactically, so that they can advance at their own pace in a flexible manner in self-learning and self-regulation processes. Their teachers, through consultations, accompany students on the platform, forums, institutional email, among others. Additionally, synchronous activities are carried out between teachers and students in real time, such as videoconferences and chats using the Collaborate communication tool. It is not required that all participants be present or connected to the platform at the same time, since they are recorded. to be shared with those students who could not participate live.

The programs are structured using a progressive learning system, organized on the platform that includes guidelines for learning activities, continuous assessment of learning, student-teacher interaction, student services and technical support.

The e-learning methodology to be used to mediate the teaching-learning process consists of presenting the content of each week with its respective activities (forums, videos, training activities, summative activities, reflections, diagrams, delivery of tasks, etc.), interactively through the Blackboard platform. This content will be available to the student during the active academic period with feedback options.

The courses are designed to develop skills through learning activities that are implemented due to a process of interaction between teachers, students, content and other educational resources. The results of each activity, unit and course demonstrate the academic success of the students.
